ProCo Rat Big Box Version 2

1981 - 1983

The main difference between this model and the earlier version is the switch from a Tone to the Filter control. The Filter cuts high frequencies as it is turned clockwise. The RAT logo was also switched from an all caps logo to one that was more stylized, while the “a” and “t” were now lower case.

Features:
Tone Control - Highs are decreased as knob is turned clockwise using a Logarithmic taper pot
Pro Co Sound Logo with "Sound Inc" vertically on side
Now using only Electrolytic caps for larger values.
Rat logo now using lower case "a & t"
Knobs are now what will be the standard up until mid 2000's
Distortion, Tone, & Volume labels closer to top edge of pedal than Ver. 1.
No battery door on bottom
